Greetings Rocky Mountain Elementary Families,
Welcome back to school! I am thrilled to be the Principal at Rocky Mountain Elementary! I am very much looking forward to working with students, staff, parents, and the community. Many of you were at Rocky Mountain last year, and you received a letter sharing with you some of my background.
For our families new to Rocky Mountain, I have been in education for sixteen years, including my time as an elementary school teacher. I received my degree in Elementary Education with an ESL endorsement from the University of Northern Colorado. I taught at the Elementary level for eight years in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades, and taught 6th grade Literacy and Social Studies for four years. In 2009, I earned my Master’s Degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Educational Leadership with a Principal Licensure. During the 2015-2016 school year, I served as the Dean of Students and Instructional Coach at Timberline PK8. Then, from 2016-2018 I served as the Dean of Students at Timberline PK8. I also just finished my twentieth year as a Wrestling Coach, where I have served as both the Head and Assistant Coach.
My wife, Elizabeth, and I have two children a daughter Ava and a son Oliver. All of whom are amazing supports and continue to push me to be the best leader I can be. Our house is filled with an enormous amount of joy and laughter.
Our outstanding staff at Rocky Mountain Elementary are committed to continue to provide students with high levels of academic achievement and growth through instructional best practices, learning experiences that are exciting and engaging, as well as exceptional opportunities through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). I am truly honored to join the Rocky Mountain team. I truly love being in education and get to enjoy everyday as it brings new learning, new ideas, and growth in all areas of education.
My door is always open and you will generally see me at school and PTO events, enjoying connecting with parents, students and staff in the Rocky Mountain community. Saludos, Familias de Rocky Mountain Elementary
Bienvenidos de regreso a la escuela! Estoy emocionado de ser el Director de Rocky Mountain Elementary! Estoy ansioso por trabajar con los estudiantes, el personal, padres y la comunidad. Muchos de ustedes estuvieron en Rocky el año pasado, y recibieron una carta donde compartí algo de mi historial.
Para nuestras nuevas familias de Rocky Mountain, he estado en educación por 16 años, incluyendo mi tiempo como maestro de primaria. Recibí mi título universitario en Educación Primaria con un endoso de ESL de la Universidad del Norte de Colorado. Enseñé en una escuela primaria durante ocho años en 3ro, 4to y 5to grados, y enseñé Alfabetización y Estudios Sociales en 6to grado por cuatro años. En 2009, obtuve mi Maestría en Liderazgo Educativo de la Universidad del Norte de Colorado con una Licencia de Principal. Durante el año escolar 2015-2016, serví como Decano de Estudiantes y Entrenador de Instrucción en Timberline PK8. Luego, de 2016 a 2018 me desempeñé como Decano de Estudiantes en Timberline PK8. También terminé mi vigésimo año como entrenador de lucha, donde he servido como el entrenador principal y asistente.
Mi esposa, Elizabeth, y yo tenemos dos hijos mi hija Ava y mi hijo Oliver. Los cuales son apoyos sorprendentes y continúan empujando me a ser el mejor líder. Nuestra casa está llena de una enorme cantidad de alegría y risa.
Nuestro personal sobresaliente de Rocky Mountain Elementary están comprometidos a continuar brindando a los estudiantes altos niveles de logro académico y crecimiento a través de las mejores prácticas instructivas, experiencias de aprendizaje que son emocionantes y así como oportunidades excepcionales a través de la Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería y Matemáticas ( STEM). Me siento realmente honrado de unirme al equipo de Rocky Mountain. Realmente me encanta estar en la educación y disfrutar cada día, ya que trae nuevos aprendizajes, nuevas ideas y crecimiento en todas las áreas de la educación.
